Officer Brian Encinia will be fired from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). That announcement came after he was indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday, according to Fusion. The department said that Encinia will have to look for work elsewhere now, since he was indicted for perjury for lying on his report regarding the arrest. The City of San Antonio is getting a big financial boost from one of its largest companies in the fight against veteran homelessness as USAA pledged $2.1 million toward the local effort on Friday.
